No dial tone on landline. Internet still working.

I'm getting intermittent cutouts on my broadband but it's still working, however I'm getting no landline dial tone. If I try to call my home number I get a ring tone on my mobile but no call is getting through to the landline handset.

 

I've tried the following :

New handset

Plugging direct into the master socket

 

I can only conclude there's a hardware fault on the line somewhere.

See if you can run this line test to see if a fault is found outside of your property and if something is found you can book an engineer repair, ignore the fact it says it will test your broadband:

You can also run this test via the MySky app.

Has your phone being working and has just stopped and have you made any changes to your broadband package recently ?

I noticed it had stopped working recently. We've made no change to our package. Repoting it now as I've had a chance to test the line using a brand new phone.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you sometime tomorrow regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

Update - After a private chat an external fault was detected and an openreach engineer has been booked

I have connected to sky landline last month. I do have internet but the phone has no dial tone, cannot ring out and when someone calls it says "this number is temporarily unavailable".

@Gary128 is your phone plugged into your broadband Hub? If there's a Voice light on the front panel of your Hub, is it  lit amber or green?
