@Tommy2 it's certainly possible, but not something a Sky engineer would get involved in or support.

@David9993 your telephone handset will need to be plugged into the socket at the rear of your new router. The engineer may do that for you. That's the only telephone connection Sky will support.

If you need phone handsets elsewhere in your home, the simplest solution would be to invest in a DECT cordless phone kit with as many handsets as you require. Each handset will connect wirelessly with a base station that plugs into your router.

IIm guessing youre having FTTP installed i.e full fibre ? if so then your current telphone sockets will be redundant and no longer work, (the extension sockets could work via digital voice injection but this can be complicated and doesnt always work well) as another poster said, If you have a DECT cordless phone then you can still use this just make sure taht the main one is plugged into the back of your Sky Hub as Sky as well as other providers are upgrading to digital voice. In essence your existing alndline phones will still work fine

Simply not an option that either an ISP or the network operator offers, I'm afraid.

It might be an option tbh or depends on exactly what the OP means as they weren't very clear unfortunately but, in essence there shouldn't be a problem keeping their existing landline phones upstairs and downstairs, providing the main DECT phone is plugged into their Sky Hub.

@Tommy2

Having an engineer attend for internal extension wiring is not an option.

Using DECT doesn't require an engineer.

Yes you're right Sky engineers specifically won't do internal telephone home wiring, however as mentioned the OP wasn't very clear in the original post. If an engineer visits for FTTP fibre then they usually set up the phone by connecting it to the router. Hopefully there shouldn't be an issue with the OP having a phone upstairs and downstairs 😊

That would be as much as the engineer would do. However, the physical extension cabling will be redundant after an FTTP installation.

Yeah although you can use digital voice reinjevtion so you can use your existing extension sockets, however, I never used my extension socket in the master bedroom myself and personally will blank them out.
