My old landline number has not been transferred over as requested

I recently moved from EE and requested that sky transfer my old landline number but this hasn't happened.

All you can do is follow it up with Sky, but they do say that it's not always possible to keep your number.

In most cases they should have no reason not to port your number, but they just ignore the request. IT failure or incompetence. They must improve.

 

I got mine back after fighting with 15 agents, 3-4 hours wasted and without Internet for ~2 weeks.

 

Cancel and re-order with the port-in request clearly explained (most agents I spoke to don't get it; majority don't live in the UK). The on-line checkbox to 'keep your number' does not work.

 

My experience here.
