My internet has been upgraded and now my landline is dead.

An engineer came round and reolaced my router and now my phone is dead, I am an old vulnerable lady and now I have no way to contact my son or doctor or bank. I need some advice please,

Have you now got Fibre broadband? If so it's fairly normal for the Sky Talk landline to not operate fully for 24+ hours after the activation. Presumably you've got it plugged into the back of the hub and NOT a wall socket?

Digital upgrade left me wthout a landline

Sorry I cannot find a landline title as I don't have a mobile phone

An engineer turned up unannounced at my son's house where I live and installed the digital thing on the wall, He said he couldn't put it under the stairs because he would need to put the new cable in by digging uner the floor of my lounge! He also said I would need an extension cable ?? 

He left 2 holes in thw wall on the outside of the house and also left me without a landline, I am 72 years old and have severe medical issues, and poor eyesight I cannot get in touch with my docor, I also have no contact with emergency services if I need them. Sky have contacted me and advised Ineed to phone someone about this.How can I phone if I don't have a phone?

I have asked them to send another engineer to fix the problem but it has been a week without a phone. 

I have told them thet their will be consequences if the don't help me.

Anyone have a solution to this,

Is your son the Sky account holder or you?

How did Sky contact you if you don't have a mobile and (currently) no landline?

@HannahSperry your landline service is provided via your broadband Hub. You didn't answer the question asked in reply to your first post: that is, is your phone handset plugged into the broadband Hub?

 

It won't work if it's plugged into the old wall socket.
