My Home Phone line has stopped working. no calls in or out. no dial tone tried with 2 phones

I do not use my home phone often so can not say when teh issue may have started.

My home phone line has no dial tone. 

I can not make calls out, and do not receive calls coming in.

I have used both the hands free phones in the house as well as a corded one and still nothing.

 

As an aside I am hugley frustrated that I have had to waste most of the morning trying to access what should be simple help to get the line checked. Help which will now take Days and chould have been a simple 5 minuite chat on a phone with sky.

Sky Home Phone not working

  • Ok so I have posted this before and the post dissapeared. I still have the forum credit for creating it so can only assume it was deleted ??
  • Anyway. Dead phone line tested with 3 phones now.
  • To be honest really really annoyed that its impossible to directly contact any help and the single avenue ie this forum has so far proved equally as unhelpful
  • A line test is all I needed and I have had to reset half a dozen security settings with various companies because I cant validate anything anymore as my phone line is dead 
  • Please don't waste my time with self help links. I just need tge line tested.
  • I do suspect that although I have no voice light on my router that some clown at sky may well have switched me to VOI without telling me ir setting it up?

I've added your post to your earlier one. It wasn't deleted.

 

Currently Sky only switch you to a VOIP service when you move to a new home or upgrade your broadband subscription and either triggers a replacement router compatible with the new service.

 

If you have the means, the quickest way to report a fault is to call. Alternatively we can flag your post to Sky and they may be able to help via the Community messaging service. Note that the messaging  service isn't synchronous, so you would need to check back from time to time for a response from Sky. If you would prefer the messaging option, let us know.

Ok, I've flagged your post to Sky. Look out for a blue chat 'bubble' towards the bottom of the page later today and an email or private message inviting you to chat online. The chat window remains open for 48 hours so just check back from time to time for an update.

  They fixed my line about a week after this thread was created and today I find its back to exactly how it was.

 @Mark39 @Addie15 

  Could someone please escilate this issue to sky again please.

Also does anyone know how to go about complaining and requesting compensation? This is beyond a joke now.

I have escalated this again so look out for the chat bubble tomorrow.
