Landline isn’t receiving incoming calls
Hi,
Apolgoies in advance for the lengthy message, but it's a bit of an odd one.
I helped my Nan switch from TalkTalk to Sky, my Nan wanted to keep her existing landline number, all of my Nan's documents shows the same number she had with TalkTalk.
My Nan's services were activated Monday 5th Dec. I've set the Hub up and all 4 lights are green, she had a wireless homephone and I've blugged the base of the phone using the cable that used to be plugged into the port, into the back of the Hub (as per instructions).
Once all 4 lights were, on I called her landline on my mobile (Sky Mobile) and everything seemed was fine, my side connected and her landline rang. My Uncle tried calling the landline using his mobile (EE) and the number wouldn't connect, "invalid number".
I tried calling the landline using my home phone (Virgin) Monday night and received the same message.
Yesterday and today, I've tried using my home phone and my brothers mobile (EE) and now the number will dial out, but the landline doesn't ring. I've tried using her mobile (O2) to call the andline and same problem, mobiles dials out but nothing happes with the landline, it doesn't light up and the green lights on the Hub, calling from my mobike works fine.
Making outbound calls with the landline works fine.
I've spoken to Sky who have advised allowing more time to pass before escalating, because the escalation team may refuse to investigate as it's so soon to the activation, which I understand if it can take a few days for issues to iron themselves out. Sky are going to call me back soon to check if the problem still persists and will then escalate. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone else has had the issue and were able to resolve the issue themselves? As I'm worried she may miss a medical appt.

Landline Issues
Hi,
I helped my Nan switch from TalkTalk to Sky.

If I call her landline from my Sky mobile, it dials out and her landline rings. If we try calling her landline using a phone that isn't with Sky, the phones dial out fine and are ring, but my Nan's landline doesn't ring.

I've spoken to Sky who have advised allowing more time to pass before escalating, today is the 5th day so Sky are going to call me back and will escalte escalate. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone else has had the issue and were able to resolve the issue themselves? As I'm worried she may miss a medical appt.

@Driscoll45 there have been one or two previous posts reporting a similar issue, which I imagine has been escalated to Sky's network team as a result of your call. It's not something you can sort out yourself.
