Landline is dead after upgrade to Full Fibre broadband

I had Full Fibre installed yesterday. The broadband is working OK. However, my landline phone (now plugged directly into the Sky Max Router) is not working. It doesn't get incoming calls (today it says the number I have called is incorrect) and there is no ring tone.

I have waited for 24hrs. I have also switched off the ONT and router for an hour and restarted.

Can anyone help?

Landline activation via the Max Hub may well take longer than 24 hours.

 

If it were me, I'd give it a few more days before doing another restart of the Hub and ONT, by switching off for at least an hour. Then if it hasn't activated, contact Sky to report it.

I'll give it a little longer. Thing is that I'm contracted to Talk anytime extra so I am paying for something that I can't use!

So, I have left things fo a few days. I have just switched off the router and ONT for an hour and then powered up.

I can now make and receive calls on the landline. However, there is no dial tone. That can't be right can it?

@steve-s I agree - that doesn't sound right. It might just require a bit more time. I  guess if you're content to wait a bit longer now that the phone is otherwise functional that would be one option. The alternative would be call on 150 to report it to Sky.

Yes, I'll just leave it for now. Like you say, at least the line is now working.
