Landline has no dial tone so I can not recieve or make calls but internet works

Since Yesterday my phone has said check phone line.  There is no dial tone at all so unable to make or recieve calls.  When people try to call it just rings their end. The internet has been dropping in and out but is still mostly working.  I am classed as extremely vunerable so really need my phone.  Can anyone please help?

I have done everything that is said on the trouble shoot pages.

Probably the result of on engineer investigating either the fault you reported, or one reported by another phone user.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Hello, Day 3 with no landline and still no contact from sky.  Im having problems seeing where the left hand corner bubble might be.  Please help.

The first escalation request hasn't been picked up. Chat invites are not guaranteed. I've bumped it up to Sky again and hopefully you'll hear something this afternoon. Unfortunately the escalation process will be unavailable after today until Wednesday 28th.

Hi, so today I have a dial tone.  I ring my mobile and it works but comes up at a different landline number.( In fact it says local pre-school ) Do I still need an engineer to come to the house or can it be fixed online?

Oh, when I dial my home number from my mobile it sounds like its ringing off the hook but doesnt make a noise .

It sounds like you have a crossed line. If you already have an engineer booked they may or may not come to your home, depending on the results of the tests they carry out beforehand.

Strange there was no dial tone for about a week before this happened
