Land line terrible crackling & noise

Can anyone help please, I have had terrible crackling & buzzing noise on my land line for weeks, bought a new telephone still same, checked all leads, new telephone works perfect on next doors line, no interference from any other electrical products, been on Sky help & it says call us but how can I when I cannot hear anything as the land line is unusable, any help please

@sallirbIs this effecting your broadband at all or is it just the landline that is having issues?

We had this problem a few months ago.  As usual, Sky did the lazy thing and arranged for OpenReach to come out, but instead BT reset the line card and the noise went away.  No visit required.

That would have been Openreach, not BT.

BT have no more responsibility for the telephone infrastructure than Sky, or any other service provider does.

Just completed the test link & broadband/wifi is showing all good, can someone help with the land line please as I cannot cotact sky as the landline does not work, is there anyway sky can contact me please
