Land line connect to fibre

I had full fibre fitted on Thursday and the openreach engineer moved my landlines phone and connected it to the back of my router and said it would take about 24 hours to become live. It's now 48 hours and my phone doesn't work. I've tried to ring it with my mobile but it just says not available. Any help?

@EYPATTY it may be just taking a bit longer than 24 hours for the landline service to be activated. I'd suggest restarting both your broadband Hub and the ONT by switching off at the plug for a few minutes to see if that prompts the Voice light to illuminate. If not, it may be best to contact Sky to report it.

Do you have a white Hub or black? If you have a black Hub, is the Voice LED illuminated?

  • It's black. Don't know what voice LED is, I've taken photo, I'll try to attach it.  I can't attach it but there are 3 lights, 2 green ones and 1 yellow one. And I notice there is a connector that's plugged in with a telephone emblem with uk on. But that's not lit up.  Is that any help. Thanks, pat

Is the Voice light illuminated? Amber or green?

Mark I did what you said(after the golf was finished so I didn't miss it if things went wrong🤣) and it worked!!! The voice light now illuminated and phone works. Thankyou so much.  Saved me lots stress and time waiting for sky to respond
