Hi
I had ultrafast fibre fitted yesterday, I was previously with virgin. Engineer said talk wont work for a few hours. . This morning I have restarted Max Hub and Ont box just now but still no dial tone on landline. The landline phone just says 'Check Phone Line' I have tried 2 different phones, treble checked connections (The phone is plugged into the back of the Sky max hub marked 'UK').
Please could someone help. Thanks.

Even though i tried 2 different cables and 2 different phones (rj11 to BT phone connector) It didnt work. I found a 3rd cable to try as a final straw and it worked even though the cables look the same. I guess the wiring is paired differently? Anyway its some information for anyone else with the same issue.

Re: Just had Full fibre fitted yesterday, Still no dial tone.
This could be a solution for my problem. As you say perhaps older wires are the problem. Thanks for sharing.
