If I was to buy a landline phone and plug it in, can I use my existing number?

Above.

I can't remember the number without looking, but before I had a smashing time with my previous landline handset a while back, I had a landline number, because there's almost no signal on my mobile in the High Green area.

Would I be able to get a new easier to remember number if I was to reinstall the landline?

@MrRichAllen1976 you'll still have the same number as you had before, if you've stayed with Sky. Except in very specific circumstances, no provider will allow you to change your number (and even if they did, you wouldn't be able to choose the new one).

@MrRichAllen1976 If nothing has changed since being with Sky and your number was transferred from a previous provider then it will still be present.

Not using the landline for calls wouldn't mean you lose your number.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
