It's part of your broadband package - you can't remove it. But if you're subscribed to the Pay as you Talk phone package, it's not costing you anything (unless you make a call, of course).

@Sarah754 You can't, the best you can do is downgrade to the pay as you go tariff that way you only pay for what you use

Re: I want to remove the talk element from my sky talk broadband package
Sky Talk is bundled together with Sky Broadband. You can't cancel the Talk side of things without cancelling Broadband as well. Just make sure you're on the Sky Pay As You Talk tariff (call Sky if you're not). That way if you make no calls there are no Sky Talk charges. (The Pay As You Talk tariff is the default tariff when you join).

That's part of your broadband payment.

The line rental is part of your broadband subscription price

@Sarah754 that's included with your broadband charge (it's not separately specified any more). You still have to pay for the line, as that's how your broadband is delivered.

Re: I want to remove the talk element from my sky talk broadband package
More appropriate to think of it as 'circuit rental': it's the cost of having an optical fibre or copper phone pair over which terrestrial broadband is delivered, whether or not there's an associated voice call service.
