I want to connect an additional landline to my new hub
I recently had a new hub set up and a landline was connected to the hub. We never considered using the other landlines in the house until the engineer left and we would like to connect these up. Can't get information on how to do this.
Thanks

Re: I want to connect an additional landline to my new hub
Several options but all DIY:
- Move to using a DECT base station with multiple handsets
- Rewire the internal extension phone sockets to the phone port on back of the Sky Hub (at own risk and you would need to disconnect the internal wiring from the main external phone supply at the master socket)
- Run a new extension phone cable plugged into back of sky hub

'Extensions' rather than 'landlines', presumably: a 'landline' usually refers to the external connection
As well as the alternatives which @cymru123 describes, there's also, in theory, 'SOGEA Voice Re-injection', but no ISP currently seems to be purchasing this as an installation option from Openreach, and DIY VRI solutions involve messing with the master socket and so aren't recommended. There is supposed to be a dedicated Openreach faceplate for this task where the 'phone' socket on the ISP router is cabled back to an isolated port which then connects to existing extension socket wiring, but these don't appear to have emerged as a real product.
We use a four-handset DECT setup with the base station plugged into the back of our BT Hub and that works just fine.
