Hi, for the first since GDPR was put into force in May 2018 I've received a hard copy phone book.  I'm listed, wow, that was a shock.  I called SKY and they moved me to ex-directory, but the hardcopy has already been posted to everyone it seems (regionally).  I did not order or even want one.  It is a waste of money, all 226 pages of it.  So just for all to know if you don't want to be listed in this prehistoric document, you will need to phone SKY, because since the introduction of GDPR they have NOT asked me if I still want to be listed.  Surely that is a mistake on SKY side.

@svander1 Sky have nothing to do with production and distribution of the BT phonebook. According to this site BT are required to still produce it and distribute it to their customers by Ofcom. That you got a copy as a Sky customer is either a mistake or BT are doing that to improve the value for their advertisers. 

A number will be listed if its on the database as not being restricted. If you are confident you never gave permission for your number to be listed contact Sky to complain however I dont believe Sky had an extra duty under the GDPR to require customersctonre-enter their preferences and its a fair way back but i think Sky explained the new rights and how to change our options if we so wished.

Thanks. Yes correct.  Apparently in 2020 I ticked a box when I went to ultrafast 2. Was all done online. Oh well I'm ex directory now after calling them to do that for me.
