I have a new sky router but I don’t want my phone in the same room as the router?

That doesn't stop you from having an additional cordless phone (linked to the main handset) elsewhere in the house as well. That would plug into a normal main socket.

Thanks for the reply. It's more that the room where the router is is used for consulting clients for counselling, and ringing are a distraction.

Gigaset has a handset range with a separate base station.
Note that you don't want their VoIP hardware.
