Sky (and probably other providers) don't allow change of number except where you're receiving threatening or abusive calls which you've reported to the Police. Can you tell us why you want to change?

I have a lot of unwanted calls that I don't want through my phone

That's common, I'm afraid. Activating the call screening service of the free Sky Talk Shield will stop you being bothered by them.

Unfortunately changing number doesn't stop random calls reaching it: the bad guys just autodial every possible combination.
As @Mark39 indicates, if you believe you are being specifically targeted and have reported this then there may be something a telco can do.
