I am looking for a big button phone that will work with sky Internet phone line

My dad moved over to full fibre broadband and we went to the Internet phone line. I have bought 2 big button phones that won't work. I am looking for any recommendations of a phone that will work

@Mark+r+Gibson any modern, standard phone should work, big button or small. Have you been able to check with another phone that works? It's possible that there's no problem with the phones, but rather the landline service. Are you plugging the phone into the socket at the back of the broadband Hub?

I'd recommend the BT big button phone. If it's digital voice that you have then are you plugging the phone directly into your Sky Hub ? It has a port which essentially emulates a traditional phone socket.

Unfortunatley that is not the case. He has a panasonic dect phone system that works fine on the system but we need a desk phone with picture buttons on for his disabled wife and the 2 i have tried do not work when pluged in to the phone line. 

this one worked fine until he went to full fibre broadband and Sky changed the type of phone line.

i have just bought this phone but it is the same.

i think it maye be due to there being no power on the internet line not like the old system.

my understanding is a phone like that should still work with Digital Voice, I know you mentioned there being no power on the new system but that shouldnt make a difference, does the phone not have batteries ? quite a lot of them still need power in addition to being plugged in.

@Mark+r+Gibson sorry to hear that. As the DECT phone works ok, there wouldn't appear to be a fault with the internet calling service provided by Sky. 

You may be right that the big button phones require more power than the Hub can provide making them incompatible, though I notice that the set up instructions for one of the phones indicates that it's designed to work from an 'internet box' which I take to be a router.

You might want to talk to the phone manufacturers' support people to seen if they can shed any light on it. Alternatively, look for a big button which is externally powered, perhaps, rather than relying on the power provided by the Hub.

@Mark+r+Gibson  Ive just done some resrach online and it appears that BT manufacture a DECT "big button phone" that appears to work with Sky digital voice, I know that this isnt a typical desk vocie that you appear to be looking for but would this be a compromise. https://www.bt.com/help/user-guides/phones/inclusion-phones/bt4000-big-button
