Hi,
When we switched to Sky this time, It wasn't very clear that I wouldn't have a standard fibre connection with which I could use my existing firewall + modem combination with. Previously when we'd been with Sky Fibre Broadband it was fine, I could use my own firewall & modem perfectly ok.
There are several tools I use on the firewall for work so I'd like to have a "regular" fibre connection that I can plug my OpenReach modem + firewall into, and not use the Sky router. Currently, if we bypassed the SKy router we'd lose calls.
How do I go about getting switched over to a "normal" phone & fibre setup and....will it cost me more to have that?
Thanks

ok thanks. I came across this on the Sky Help page:
"Don’t worry, we’ll ask you about these when you’re ordering so we won’t give you Internet Calls if it isn’t right for you. But don’t forget to let us know if your circumstances ever change."
I don't recall being "asked" by the form I signed up via when ordering and it's the sort of thing I;d pick up on.

Remember that Sky transitioning its subscribers to SOGEA broadband is in preparation for the removal of PSTN services nationwide in 2025, at which point 'Internet Calls' are the only calls...
