How do I get my old phone number back after joining Sky from Now less than a month ago?

I went to renew my contract with Now (part of Sky) by phone and was directed to Sky sales team, they signed me up for Sky Stream. Rightly or wrongly I thought that I would be keeping my landline number. The transfer from Now to Sky went ahead and since then I have contacted several Sky help desks to have my new VOIP number ported back to my original landline number, all without success. I believe that I am still within the 31 days to have the number changed, can you please help?

@David4562 you have 31 days from switching  in the sense that NOW keep your old number accessible for that period. After that it's released to the unused numbers pool.

However, my understanding from previous posts that there are technical issues with porting numbers from NOW to Sky which I suspect is why you've not been successful with Sky's customer services centres.
