Home telephone has ceased to work through internet hub

When I try to make a telephone call, I get a two tone sound which I at first thought was an indication that I had a voicemail. However, after dialling 1571 nothing happens, I am unable to access voicemail. All lights on the router are green. I then switched the hub off and on again to reset, all four green lights are lit. The problem remains.

Is it just Voicemail affected? Can you make and receive other calls normally?

Have checked again, I no longer get the two tone noise, but I do now get the usual dialling tone. However, I am unable to make calls out (I've tried ringing my mobile number and a relatives home number, but on each ocassion, all I get is someone saying the number I have dialled has not been recognised). I asked another relative to try ringing me on my home number, my home phone did not ring.

@Kernow+man you could try the connection test here, even if your broadband seems to be working ok (they're both delivered via the same cable).

 

If it detects a fault you'll be able to book an engineer online, otherwise you'll need to speak directly to Sky to report it.

I reported the fault to Sky earlier today. This evening, I am now able to receive and make calls from my home number, so I am assuming that Sky have corrected the fault. Thanks.
