Home landline with full fibre broadband

I am getting FFB installed next week with Sky Talk but I am wondering, will my current analogue telephone work when plugged into the presumably new socket/hub?  In other words, a) will I still plug my existing landline phone into my existing analogue line or b) will I need a new home phone handset (presumably VOIP) to plug into the new hub/router?  Any help gratefully received, thanks.

A VOIP handset definitely won't work. You'll simply need to plug your existing handset into the phone socket at the back of the Sky Hub. The Hub does all the necessary conversion to send your phone signal via your fibre connection.

Fibre broadband installed on Tues 29th August and now my landline is not ringing for incoming calls but i can call out have tried everything that has been suggested ie; turning everything off for 10mins no change checked phone volume etc etc etc still won't work any ideas anyone thank you

Is your phone plugged into your Sky Hub? Is the Voice light on the Hub lit? Green or amber?

Hi folks. Sounds like I am having a similar problem. I plugged my landline into the socket with the phone symbol. The voice light is green. When I call the landline from my mobile I get a ringing tone but my landline isn't ringing. When I pick up the landline my the ring tone continues on my mobile and eventually goes to my voicemail. When I make a call out on the landline it looks like it's made the call (starts displaying the duration of the call) but the number I called (my mobile) didn't ring. Any ideas? It's not a landline with a separate power cable or base unit.

Thanks for the tip - I wasn't notified of a new number but I can call sky to find out. The voicemail is still active on the old number so that number hasn't been disconnected. I'll give them a call. Thanks

No need to call. Just dial 17070 from your landline. The recorded message will tell you the number.

Which is impossible to do when you cannot make outgoing calls!
