Had installation yesterday all great and now phone isn’t working

I've bought a 10m cat 8 extension and just moved the sky broadband box, plugged it all in and now I get a red LOS light on the bt openreach box and the phone doesn't work.  Broadband still works just not the phone.  Is it the extension or is the phone line down?

After running sky broadband checks I'm back upto full speed again, I'm very happy 😃👍

I'd suggest temporarily reconnecting your Hub directly to the ONT to see if the Voice light then lights up.

Sorted, I put the Ethernet cable from the open reach box to sky broadband in the WLAN Ethernet socket, once I tried a different Ethernet socket it worked.  Will try the extension tomorrow again.  What confused me was Ethernet cable carry the signal a lot better than telephone cable with zero loss of signal

Just got 145mb/s, bt put ultrafast cable on my road last year

I got the phone working on the 10m cable and in the WLAN port, lose connection / wasn't pushed in enough.  The internet speed is slower 78mb/s as opposed to 136mb/s when not using the 10m cable.  I've moved the cordless phone away from the router.  I'll try moving the lifeline call box away aswell
