Got fibre installed at house now landline doesnt work says line cord error. 

There were no issues before the fibre install.

Is the phone cable plugged nto the back of the Sky hub and if so is the voice light lit up on the front of it ?

It is plugged into its own socket.. worked before install nope doesn't work. I have followed all the online help and nothing has worked.. tried to get through to sky but no luck

Does your broadband hub have a voice light on it because if it does and it is lit up the phone cable needs to be plugged into the back of the hub.

From a customer perspective, it's a normal phone line, using a standard phone handset plugged into the phone socket at the back of the broadband Hub.

Until there is a power cut or no internet.

Certainly, but that's going to be the same for every 'landline' user in the UK once the switch-off of PSTN (and exchange power) happens: still supposedly scheduled for 2025, although this is a target set pre-pandemic.

The form of FTTP now being deployed by Openreach typically doesn't have a copper bearer in the drop cable entering customer premises, so PSTN service (and exchange power) is simply impossible.

For FTTC it's SOGEA broadband (.pdf)

We got sky fibre in yesterday and our land line isn't working. There is a voice dot on the hub but it isn't lit up. We have 4 buttons on the open reach box power lit los not lit pon lit lan lit. Can someone please help us as we rely on our phone as we have very poor mobile reception

@Indiebindy  Have you tried re-starting the router to see if the voice light goes amber then green?

I did thank you and it worked. Thank you. Now the tv isn't connected to the sky internet and it's asking me to press the wps on the router but there isn't one.

@IndiebindyLook down the sides it is there. Most of the time you miss it because your hand is covering it.
