Got broadband but no dial tone

Hi,

 

I've had a problem with my phone line. About midnight on Saturday or Sunday night, the Wifi seemed to drop but then reconnected itself a few seconds later. However, since then I have had no dial tone for my landline. I have also noticed that my laptop's Wifi signal strength has dropped considerably yet I still have full signal for my other devices such as my Alexa, phone and streaming TV through Sky. I did replace the phone just in case but I still have no dial tone.

Does your phone line plug into your broadband router or do you have a usually socket where the phone line plugs into ?
