Engineer out to check phoneline without the rigmarole everything done need a person
Read all the post phoned. Will need an engineer regarding landline not working. Broadband works changed handsets etc. No change, just need a person out, as elderly parent has an alert dependent on the landline working

It's unclear from your post whether you have already contacted Sky to report this issue.

Re: Engineer out to check phoneline without the rigmarole everything done need a person
Apologies late at night ...
Yes all reported and did everything requested.
There is no issue with broadband (checks done)
The handsets have been changed
Still can't ring out or get phone calls in. I just need a number to get an engineer out. Instead of the questions again. Seems to be a reluctance to just send a person out. The next instruction for example was to send me to a forum which (I get it) is supposed to help. But it is repetitive to what I have already told them so that's it. I am a bit old school. I can't even begin to imagine the frustration cordoned that is older school. Summary...the broadband (albeit slower) works. The issue is external

@Kewrious Sky can't arrange an Openreach engineer until they've verified a clear need for one. I agree that might come across as reluctance!
Can you tell us a bit about the background? Are you new to Sky's landline service, or has your landline with Sky worked OK up to now?
