Engaged tone for all incoming calls

I have switched from BT to Sky Broadband, TV and Talk this week. Everything works fine exceot the landline. I am getting an dialling tone and can ring out okay but...if I try rining in I get an egnaged tome or busy message. The phone is not in use. I have trued rebooting the hub and checked all the connections. I have also followied the help advice on the Sky App and reported the issue bu ending a photo - but it is still not working. Can anyone help?

When was your Sky service activated? Do you have a black Hub, or white? Do you have full fibre with an ONT or standard broadband via a phone socket?

Re: Engaged tone for all incoming calls

Sky service was activated on the 20 August but I was away at the time so did not install all the Sky equipment until last Sunday (24th). I have a black hub and standard broadband via a phone socket.

@SteveW361 thank you for the clear answers. I'm assuming your phone is plugged into your Hub.

It may be just that activation is taking an unusually long time to complete, in which case Sky should be monitoring it. Initial part activation is reported here frequently. But I'd suggest restarting your Hub again today, if you haven't already done so, and if it's no different, giving them a call on 150 to report it, just to check that Sky are on the case.

Thanks for your help. I will do as you suggest and fingers crossed. I did think that activation may take a little time but was surprised that the line works to call out but not in! Seemed odd to me.
