Re: Does BT digilal voice adapter work with Sky router?
My system is a Sky HD receiver for ongoing TV and also the usual 7 days programs to be recorded. This is supported by a BT Smart Hub. Phones are on the bt service DECT. We are now asked to change to the new Digital Voice system which apparently does not support the Sky connection. What are our options please?

@ferncot Sky+ equipment hasn't needed a landline connection for many years, so there would be no impact if you were to change to BT's Digital Voice service.

Re: Does BT digilal voice adapter work with Sky router?
The 'telephone' socket in older Sky+ HD boxes is for an internal dial-up modem, and as such is seriously obsolete and hasn't performed any function for years. If the box has internet access for on-demand content then that arrives over broadband (via WiFi or ethernet cable) and not dial-up, which is orders of magnitude too slow for any such purpose.

Re: Does BT digilal voice adapter work with Sky router?
Interesting to see that there is still widespread confusion over the decommissioning of analogue landlines and what impact this will have on people's daily lives. I have a modest interest/knowledge of 'tech' but often progress leaves me at a loss. The large companies don't help with their numerous acronyms, and assumptions that everyone knows what they're talking about...
