No as the fibre line will carry any voice service provided by Sky, with Sky you plu your phone into the hub, there is no need for a seperate phone line.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

If you have a handset already it should work fine. If not you just need a standard (not VOIP) phone handset. Bear in mind your phone has to be plugged into the Sky Hub, not the wall socket, so you may find a cordless DECT phone useful.

We never use the phone so maybe I should get rid of that expense

Make sure you're on the Pay as you Talk package which has no monthly subscription. You only pay for the calls you make, so no calls, no charge.

As @Mark39 indicates, on the default service there is no expense associated with voice calling if no voice calls are made.  The concept of 'phone line rental' is essentially obsolete in the modern world:  paying for a digital data bearer (i.e. a wholesale FTTC or FTTP link) at the address is part of the broadband subscription and is required for terrestrial internet access.
