Do I still need a phone line if upgrading to full fibre?

I am looking at upgrading my package from Sky broadband unlimited to Sky full fibre 100.

We do not have a physical landline telephone any longer (have not done for years) although we still pay for Skytalk anytime extra.

My question is, do we still need a phone line if we upgrade to Sky full fibre 100? In other words, do we still need to pay for Skytalk if upgrading to full fibre 100?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@PMW

Do you mind if I ask why you're paying £17pm (before any discount) for Sky Talk Anytime Extra when you haven't got a handset connected?

Sky Talk is bundled together with Sky Broadband. You can't cancel the Talk side of things without cancelling Broadband as well. Make sure you're on the Sky Pay As You Talk tariff (call Sky if you're not). That way if you make no calls there are no Sky Talk charges.

@PMW if you have a full fibre broadband service, the old copper telephone line will become redundant. However, there's still a telephone service provided via your broadband Hub, but if you don't use it, you can cancel the Anytime call package. The phone service then won't cost you anything, unless you make any calls ( if you do, the calls will be very expensive).
