Since moving to sky I have lost my landline and now my original cordless handset will not connect. Can I purchase a handset that will connect with my router wirelessly so that when someone rings my landline number is will pick up.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreUnfortunately not. The only connection to Sky's phone servoce is via the socket at the back of your broadband Hub. A standard cordless DECT phone will work (a BT handset designed to work with BT's Digital Voice service won't work).

The main base station plugs into the back of the hub UK phone port, they don't connect wirelessly.

I just want to use another phone in another room when someone uses my landline number like I did when I used my BT landline

As the setup Sky uses only allow the use of one phone at a time on the landline as you only have the one landline service. I'm not sure what the BT service did to allow 2 users to use the line at the same time. as I've never had that service.

I don't think Sky Talk with Internet Calls have the feature to make 2 simultaneous calls like BT Digital Voice has.
It could potentially have the ability to do so but Sky has opted not to provide that capability to customers, this could be down to many reasons from cost and having to manufacture specific handsets/adaptors one of the reasons why BT Digital Voice have their own digital voice specific handsets.
