Connected to Sky this morning wanted to keep old landline number but it's changed?

Connected to Sky this morning and wanted to keep my old landline number but it's changed? I need to speak to a human but that doesn't seem to be possible...

@Caroline641

Activation can occur at any time up until midnight on the actual day.

Sometimes you will then need to wait up to 24 hours after installation before the landline in fully operational. Don't forget that Sky cannot guarantee the number will remain the same.

It's working, but the number has changed and I ticked the box to keep the old one?

As I said it's not guaranteed. If it hasn't moved over in 24 hours give Sky a call to see what they say. Dial 150 free from the landline.

@Caroline641  If Sky were unable to port you old number calling  customer service agent may prove to be unfruitful as they won't be able to get your number back.

Please see this help link  https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-broadband-provider-switch-to-sky

Most of the time, you can keep your existing landline number when moving to Sky Talk. Just let us know your existing number and your landline provider when you order.

If we can’t transfer your number or you want a new one, you’ll get an email or letter with your new number. Or sign in to My Account to see it.

Switching from NOW Broadband? You'll get a new phone number when you switch, as you won't be able to transfer your number over.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
