Cant receive calls on landline

Can't receive calls on landline after full fibre installation

When was your fibre service activated?

29th April. The problem is that I can receive calls from sky and from sky mobile users? But no-one else, Bt included.

Might be just a delay in completing activation. You could try turning off both your ONT and Sky Hub at the plug for 15 minutes or so to see if it resolves it?

Tried that to no avail. The Sky handler says my problem can't happen, impossible in fact, but it is happening and to tell the truth I'm getting fed up to the teeth  conversing with someone on the phone with broken English at best instead of having a living breathing person here looking at the installation. Open Reach however won't deal with the problem.

Not sure I agree with that. I'm pretty sure similar issues have been reported here before. If you wish we can ask the forum's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report (again) it via a private online chat, if you wish. I doubt there's an issue with the installation itself - more likely an activation or network issue.

Im having the same problem it only works when plugged into italia socket in the new hub,should I have got an adapter in my sky hub box?

@Daisymay4 the UK socket is suitable for all phones which have a standard UK phone plug - the same plug as you would use to plug your phone into the wall socket No adaptor is required.

The Italia socket is not designed for standard UK phones,.

My phone plug will not going the UK phone socket at back of hub it only fits into the Italian hub

Sorry meant to say the plug at the end of my phone is purple and it will  only fit into the Italian socket not the white uk one on the back of  my new hub

That suggests you need to source a cable with 'RJ11' at one end and 'BT jack' on the other.  The RJ11 goes into the telephone handset (typically) and the BT jack into the 'UK'-marked socket on the Sky Hub.

2. Shouldn't the installer test first.

No: plugging in a telephone handset is left to the customer.
