I got connected with Sky Broadband and Sky Talk on Tuesday of this week 8th June 2021. My internet is working but my phone is not. I cannot receive any calls in or make calls out. There is no dial tone on my phone. I received an email from the Sky Talk team who said my Sky Talk has been activated but I still have no phone dial. There are no issues on the line or with the equipment that I can see. Help !!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDo you have VOIP on your account, so does your broadband hub have a voice light on it because if it does you will have internet calls so your phone line would need to be plugged into the back of the hub.

Thank you for your reply. My phone line is plugged into the back of the hub but I still have no dial tone.

Have you tried plugging your phone into the normal wall phone socket, rather than your Hub?

Yes Mark I have and it gives an engaged tone on the line

Sorry Caesar for not replying to you. I did try making internet calls but it wouldnt make them.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GeraldineF sometimes there's a delay in fully activating Sky VOIP (if you have it), but usually it's around 24 hours, no more. Try restarting your broadband Hub, by switching it off at the plug for 30 seconds, then see if the Voice light it lit. Let us know if it's not lit and we can flag your post to Sky.

Hi Mark,
I turned the plugs off and the hub light up all four lights - Voice Light included but I still have no dial tone on my phone. Tried ringing it from my mobile and it is ringing out on my phone but is not ringing on my house phone.

Look out for a blue chat bubble at the bottom of the page. Once it appears you'll have 48 hours to respond.
