Cannot receive or make calls on phone - cord line fault

I have had an issue with the phone line for over a week, although the broadband is still working, whereby a cord line fault is showing on the phone.  I have unplugged the phone and followed all advice including putting an old plug in phone into the master socket and there is no dial tone.  

 

I have done a line check with Sky who have advised there are no issues in the area although on the Nextdoor app there has been an issue with high value cable thefts in the area and some of the nearby villages have been affected.  Neither BT or Sky have advised any of their customers in these areas that their phones have been affected, including small businesses in the villages.  Any ideas who to contact for an indication of when this is going to be resolved as I'm getting nowhere with BT or Sky (apparenly the Sky team are having training today and are unable to answer the phone........)
