I have a very good call recorder that plugs into an extension socket of the old landline system. It automatically picks up both sides of the conversation when the call is answered, recording onto a micro SD card, and has been invaluable a couple of times.
Thinking ahead, when the system goes over to internet calls (VOIP), the current 'landline' phone plugs into the hub, making the old phone and extension sockets redundant.
Wil it be possible to use a splitter into the hub to enable the recorder to be plugged in too?

Yes, you can plug a standard splitter into the Hub's phone socket.
