Can't receive calls following our "upgrade" to fibre. I can see I am not alone.

Two hours on the phone to sky on installation day. A message the day after explaining the problem (can call out but phone doesn't ring if you call in, day one sounded on other end like was ringing, since then it's the number not recognised sound), we have sky shield and tried taking it off and same problem. Message from sky to make sure phone plugged into new hub, even though I sent a picture showing it was. Then a message saying they tried to call me and I didn't answer. Which bit of the phone not working didn't they get? They haven't tried my mobile. How long did others have the problem for and did you constantly have to chase?

When was your upgrade activated? It can take a few days for the phone service to be fully functional.

I'd suggest leaving it until after the weekend before chasing Sky again.

Don't want to worry you but our landline has not worked for 7 weeks since our upgrade despite numerous calls to Sky. They keep sending us messaages that the network team are managing the situation without any explanation what that means. There does seem to be a lot of problems when switching people to digital voice (as they call it) from the copper wire existing setup.

Another 40 mins on the phone to sky and still not working. Initially was going to offer me an engineer visit, that changed and it became part of a national open reach known issue with no expected date when it may be resolved. Very poor service. Tried to offer me 2 free months netflix (this comes up on my sky box anyway so it's not new!). So now they have removed shield, which I only just found out means all my blocked and started numbers have also gone, and it's not back ready to activate once (if?) the problem is ever fixed. The link he sent to the national incident is showing no known issues in my area/with my number so gas just frustrated me more !

Update. I did my daily check this morning and my landline actually rang!! I didn't think to answer as I am home alone but is looking good. Am hesitant about them reactivating shield (they took it off their end as a "fix" so it's now not in my app) so I just may live without it for a while. Just relieved to have a landline seemingly back
