0300 call on a landline

Why is the charge of an 0300 call to the DVLA which is 12 miles from our house so high.   I have a bill of over £19.00.

@jmhg   As per @Daniel0210  charges will depend on what Call package you have, there is a list of all charges.

If you are on Pay as You talk calls to UK numbers are charged at 27p per minute.

@jmhg

That will depend on which tariff you are on, what time of day the call was made, and did it last over 60 minutes?
