not letting me watch tv

hi when ever i am watching a channel now on my sky hd box it is saying  my display does not support hdcp,, its telling me to unplug my hdmi but i cant do that its behind my tv. it is doing it on 106, and on movie channels it will play for about 2 minutes then it comes up. im not very tech wise as i am 71 but help would be appreciated, ive asked my family about the error and nobody seems to know

Turn off your Sky box and TV at the mains plug and not just in standby, wait 5 minutes. turn on the TV, wait a couple of minutes then turn on the Sky box

This should reset the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) handshaking between the TV and Sky box
