Incorrect. The councils dedicated contractor should do it, not the actual council. Maybe ask them for the contractors detail and ask them

But it is up to the council to arrange things with their contractors, their tennents should only have to deal with the council

@Annie+UK you're both right, in your own way. I agree with both. But the council have become so ridiculous and very bad with their service

Again incorrect, the customer deals with the contractor as the council doesn't have anything to do with it.
The council merely passes on the contact detail.

And who does the customer contact first, in order to obtain the contractor's contact details, if that'sthe way the council decides to deal with it? 🙄
