Re: Yet another mistreatment by Sky of loyal customers the new sky sports + is NOT available on your

The only sport my disabled husband follows is rugby League which he used to record. Now most games are streamed many at the same time. We are away but when I load sky sports+ it wont load. Not an internet issue as we have super fast broadband. We are totally disgusted as non of the games are on catch-up either

All the hype and the result! Total loss of an expensive service. If we hadn't just renewed our package we would cancel altogether phone internet and TV. No regard for loyal customers

That's the generic cure, yes, but Q has been around for eight years now and very rarely requires any such process.

If accessibility is a concern, you could perhaps consider a remote control (IR or WiFi) mains block in which to plug the Q box.

Re: Yet another mistreatment by Sky of loyal customers the new sky sports + is NOT available on your

I've been a sky subscriber for 20 years and have a Sky+ HD multi-room set up which I need to change for an IP based service (for signal ditribution reasons around my home and to an outbuilding). I'd be happy to change to sky stream - but it appears as though, Sky doesn't offer existing subscribers the option to switch to sky stream - new subscribers can have the full package for £78pm. I'm already paying £149 pm and I'm about to start paying EE TV £108 pm for their streaming platform simply because I don' think sky will let me have theirs.  Have I misunderstood the situation? I hope so

@Ilovesky

Why do you believe you cannot get SKY Stream ?

I can think of no reason why you can;t get it - although it may be that you cannot choose it online.

I think existing customers need to call as they want to make sure that any existing contracts are not cancelled before they are due. This is  likely to mean you may need to start another  full term contract rather tyhan a rolling one.

Thanks for your response . On the website under "deals" I'm only given the choice of Q or Glass for a further charge of £15 pm (£165pm in total - without Netflix). If I select "buy stream" from the website I get a message saying I have the best service sky have to offer already. The problem is my current set up, or Sky Q / Sky Glass  wouldn't suit my changed circumstances .  I've had pretty poor experience in the past calling sky customer service so try to avoid it if at all possible - I'll give it a try and see what happens. Hoping it's less than the one hour plus wait I've expereienced on every previous occasion I've called!

When you cancel you can switch to  NOWTV and pay less for just Sky Sports with sports+😉

So annoyed, subscribed to a rolling contract last week, so my boys can watch NFL live games  this weekend. Only to find we can not access it as we have a Sky +HD box. At no time did they say we would not be able to view the game of our choice. So now have to have a Sky Q box but that cannot be installed until September.

So frustrated.🤨😟

An NFL Game Pass on the DAZN app may have been a better choice for your boys😉

Re: sky sports +

Being able to watch on a phone or tablet rther makes a mockery of having a subscription to Sky TV doesn't it.  There a world of difference between watching TV and peering at a much smaller mobile screem.  And it does not solve the issue of not being able to watch all concurrent events.  Although billed as an "improvement" is service, for many people it is actually a downgrade.

Re: Yet another mistreatment by Sky of loyal customers the new sky sports + is NOT available on your

You obviously want to make every suggestion put to you a negative.If you are a Sky Vip which I assume you are after over 20 years as a customer their Customer Priority Team is open 7 days a week 0900-2100 on.I always call them directly and if they are busy they will call you back.Discuss your grievances with them but it is highly likely they will tell you the same as everyone else on this forum but you seem to be too bull headed about any suggestions.I am probably of a similar age group to you but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and swallow your pride and take the option of upgrading to Q or Glass.Prices are not alot different and the superior quality and many more options available are a definite benefit.If you want to continue with the same package that is fine but it was always explained that Sky Sports+ would only be available to Q,Glass and Stream customers so whoever is telling you different is incorrect and obviously winding you up more.HD+ will be on the way out soon anyway which will leave with nothing or moving to a different supplier which in my experience is a complete waste of money and usually an inferior product.Please do not take this personally as these are only suggestions and if you do not want to listen that is fine by me.Good Luck.PS:I am not allowed to inc the number in this message

Re: Yet another mistreatment by Sky of loyal customers the new sky sports + is NOT available on your

Thank you for a response but putting aside the personal ' insult' I wish to reiterate that nowhere on the promotional video script does it state Sky Q only and Sky plus boxes excluded. I am indeed a sky vip customer and having searched the VIP app this morning cannot find any details of a special VIP number to call perhaps you could be "more helpful" and explain how I can find that number and access it. Indeed it took 20 minutes of searching Sky web site , Google and various numbers before I found a number that I could speak to someone from sky.  If I have misunderstood the statement " free to all existing sky sports subscribers" clearly I am missing something. Why should I change my set up of 2 sky plus multiroom boxes for additional costs, as you point out, for something that all sky tell should be free to an existing sky subscriber .

Re: can i get sky sports + if i only got sky hd box

Hi. I could not watch the Rugy or football on the new Sky Sports + channel. There was no red button to press as what has happened in the past. If I cannot get the full service on my SKY+hd box why am I paying full price or aht are my options to get the service on my TV.

Sky+ is a legacy platform which has restricted Sky Sports+ content. Switching to Sky Q or Sky Stream would give you the full service.

@Dave144

Customers with Sky+ (with the full sports subscription) will receive the new Sky Sports+ Channel, 412 but will not have access to the live streams as Sky+ is not compatible with the Sky Sports App.

See the article in the News section at the top of the page

https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-TV/Introducing-Sky-Sports/ba-p/4706785

Even though the Sky box doesn't support the new Sky Sports app that is showing the alternative games you can use the app on a mobile device such as iphone/ipad or Android mobile or tablet (but unfortunately not on a desktop)
