When I switch to HD BBC will I lose any BBC recordings made in SD?

The only way you'll lose recordings is if you physically change your Sky+ box. All your SD recordings are stored on the hard drive on your Sky+ box. If you have a really old box and need to upgrade to Sky+HD or Sky Q then the box will need to be changed. In this case you will lose your SD recordings.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

If you change your Sky+ box then yes the recordings will be lost.
