@Userindespair  Without providing some basic info it's going to be nigh impossible to provide any help.

The SKY HD Box no longer provides access to the record, catch up and pause functions stating there is a proboem with th hard drive. The self help corrective programme states it is unable to correct it. Sky personeel are not contactable. Appalling.

@Userindespair  Sky+HD boxes are no longer supported by Sky so you will have 2 options find a replacement 2nd hand box online or get Sky Q.

To do the latter you woyuld need to call.

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

@Userindespair

Sky Customer Services are available to provide advice and troubleshooting. Sky+, being a legacy package, is no longer supported by Sky so you certainly won't get an engineer.

Still call Sky to discuss your options moving forward which will be upgrading to Sky Q or moving to Glass / Steam to continue to view Sky content.

@Userindespair a failed hard disk is not repairable by Sky. Unless you can find an independent technician who specialises in replacing hard disks for Sky+HD boxes which might be a solution,, your options are likely,to be upgrading to Sky Q,or Sky Stream.

If you're having problems being put through to an adviser, stay silent when asked why you're calling, don't accept any text links offered and,remain on the line. You should,eventually be asked,if you want to speak to an adviser.

Finding a second hand box online is no longer a viable option unfortunately as Sky no longer allow the viewing card to be paired to replacement boxes.

Perhaps worth noting that Sky+ HD hardware was last manufactured in 2015: an increasing rate of mechanical failure is inevitable.

@Hambo46

There is a contact number for Sky.

From a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile dial 150 to call Sky (free).

Alternatively you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and a 0333 number is displayed.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a dedicated 0818 ROI number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).

Similar to calling other large companies the start will be automated which may also try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and don’t hang up. If necessary say nothing when the automated system asks you what your call is about as it should then route your call into a queue for the next available agent.

Note: if your services are restricted due to a missed payment/s any calls will only prompt you to pay what you owe.
