TV channel switches to trailer after 5 minutes

I switch on TV, choose a channel from the Sky homepage and after 5 minutes of watching, the picture switches to a trailer for another programme.  The subtitles for the programme I am watching continue. The first few days when this happened, it was the same trailer (for a particular ITV drama, even though I was watching BBC). Yesterday, it switched to a trailer for a different drama.  I have found a fix (change channel then change back) but why is it happening in the first place?

It shouldn't be hapening so if you do have a Sky+ box then try a Sky planner rebuild.

Press Services on your remote

Select Help

Select Sky+ Rebuild

This should take no longer than 10 minutes, don't do it if you are recording or due to start recording something. Your recordings and downloads are safe when doing this.

Pretty sure that this isn't happening on a Sky+HD Box (where you've posted)
