TNT sports activation

I bought a sky subscription which came with a two year tnt sports package at a reduced rate but I don't know how to use it

Have you tried tuning to one of the TNT Sports channels?

I've just tried it and it works but there is no football yet so is that all I have to do to activate it?

If you can view the channel then live football will only be shown when it is on, so see here for when that might be:
