@lilacs1 probably not, but there's a small chance that it might - it's easy to unintentionally short circuit the sockets temporarily when refitting the cable plugs. The Sky box can then turn off the power to that socket, which makes it stop working.
To be sure, it would be worth just restarting your Sky box, by switching it off at the plug for 4 minutes. If it's still the same, you'll have to go down the route @Annie+UK posted about either getting an independent engineer out, or upgrading.
