TNT Sports no signal

We have the Sky+HD box and all four TNT channels have no signal. All other channels work. Rang Sky and was told our box is too old for TNT. Is this true? Is it time? Do we have to upgrade !

When you tine to one of these channels, are you seeing a 'no satellite signal' message?

Yes the no satellite signal message is displayed. Like what you get when there's a thunderstorm.

@vicpeak

I'm afraid Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD set ups. You'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense to check/repair/replace the dish/LNB if that's the problem.

If you have Sky Protect insurance through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them but a recent post on here stated they wouldn't send an engineer - but they did offer the customer £65 towards arranging one themselves.

The alternative is contacting Sky to upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream.

There's no inherent reason why you shouldn't be able to watch TNT on your Sky+ box. The problem is most likely a fault with your dish or cables. Unfortunately Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ equipment unless you have Sky Protect, which is probably why the adviser told you your Sky box was too old. You could, however, still get the dish etc checked and fixed by a local satellite engineer.

Alternatively now might be a good time to consider upgrading to Sky Q, as you mentioned. Any dish or cabling issues will be addressed as part of the Sky Q installation at no additional cost to you.

The TNT channels are among the first affected by a slight dish misalignment.
