Sound keeps going out of sync

we found that just pausing and restarting would usually bring it back in sync for maybe half hour or so

Thank you for the various replies. Your efforts are much appreciated and all have been tried out but sadly without success.

We still have the issue and Sky are being as helpful as an ashtray on a motor bike. In terms of frequency it probably happens two or three times a week.

For some bizarre reason it always happens with 'Beyond Paradise' which is not good for family harmony as it's one of my wife's favourite programmes.

All programmes on which the problem occurs have been pre-recorded and are viewed on playback.

What you need to do is -

Go to settings then picture & sound.

Now change from Auto to PCM.

This worked for me.
