Assuming you're using the TV speakers, rather than an external sound system, have you tried restarting your Sky box, by switching it off at the plug for 4 minutes?

Actually we are using an external sound bar. Could this be causing the problem? Thanks for responding by the way! 
I will try the switching it off at the mains as well, as it is usually left on standby.

Yes, that's quite possible. Try the audio delay settings in your Sky box's Sound menu to see if you can get rid of it.

That is the default setting for people who don't have an audio sync issue

Ether the delay setting on the Sky box needs tweaking or the delay setting on your amp needs tweaking

Try adjusting it to see if it resolves the problem - that will then be the right setting 😉

You can always change it back if it doesn't help.
