Sky+ to skyq
Hi
I keep losing my TV reception anytime there's wind/ rain/ snow etc . I currently use a satellite dish but now have fibrus broadband. Does sky q run off broadband and are there any problems with reception

Sky Q is also satellite TV just as Sky+ is, Sky glass in broadband only but a very much diffrent service

@Helmar No, Sky Q is still a satellite TV system. Sky Glass and Sky Stream are delivered via your broadband but are very different from Sky +/Sky Q, so would require some research on your part.

@Helmar have you reported your signal problems to Sky? At worst you should only lose the signal in heavy rain or falling snow. Moderate rain or snow shouldn't affect reception. It may be that some maintenance is required - most likely either re-alignment of the dish ( if you lose signal when it's windy it may not be properly secured) or a replacement LNB - the bit on the arm of the dish where the cables connect. Typically LNBs from around 5 years and generate a reduced signal. In poor weather the reduced signal may cause reception to drop out completely.
